Best place to find nails?

In all of my experience of Zomboid, I can never find a good source of nails. I currently have every window and doors boarded up with 2 boards in my safe house, and I started to build a fence around a (planned) garden area. Long story short, I run out of nails extremely fast, where are the best places to search for nails? I'm in West Point by the way.

Nails are commonly found in crates and sometimes in counters in houses. In west point the best places I've found to get nails are 3 different locations. I'll post some links to where they are but keep in mind the links are spoiler filled because its the entire PZ map :D

http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.8164979625887769,0.15598337499562,82.5722905832476 these two buildings have a decent supply of crates, the green roofed building is even better if you have a sledge hammer to access the sealed up storage areas.

http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.8137160577819842,0.1439898380990609,295.8714462299135 behind this market is a door, its not visible on the map because its in the corner of the L shaped part of the building but its visible once you're back there. This is access to the Hardware store which is easily over looked because you can't see the shop front due to the isometric view.

Thanks, I looted the first area (The storage building) and found quite a lot of good stuff. Whenever I get a sledge hammer I'll have to go back to it. I'll try the second area now.

did you go into the brick building south of the storage place? Its kind of an industrial factory but there is a large chunk of Crates down there too ^_^

I did after I made the run back to my safehouse for my sawed off, what seemed like hundreds of zombies were standing around there.
