Possible Bug - Loaded Save Game Character Health Damage
Hello! Just wanted to make note of a potential bug. I've noticed that when I come back to my sandbox save games, sometimes my character is badly damaged (low health, but no visible injuries) and I'm fairly certain they weren't damaged before I saved and quit out previously. This has happened a few times and I suspect it's a bug rather than me being forgetful about the state of my character when I save and quit.

Using macMini circa 2008 w/ Mac OS X Mavericks, latest version as of Nov-10-2013.

I had this happen too. I think I had exited/saved while on the second floor of a house, and when I'd start playing again, I'd briefly see my character fall.(Possibly falling thru the floor while being loaded?) Then I'd have the "broken bone" icon, and had to wait a while for him to heal up. Pain Killers and Food helped.(I think) Hasn't happened again since I moved homes, and have been exiting the game on a ground floor.

The falling through the floor bug is a known issue; they're working on it. But yes, if possible exit/logout from the ground floor for now.

Other possible sources of damage.
Eating uncooked meat, eating rotten food, running around tired in the rain. You can get sick, and maybe die from these... but some food & R&R and taking it easy could see a full recovery.

Scratches/bites from zombies. Not a 100% death sentence; but if you get infected, you'll get sick, and eventually die/turn. Scratches is a chance (I've heard 10%, unconfirmed). Bites are very very bad (90+% I've heard, again unconfirmed).

** Most/all of the above should show queasy/sick/fever as well as being injured.

Carrying too much can kill you. When you get over 150% (say 12/8 encumbered) you're pushing it. At around 200% (I think) you'll take damage moving (and need to recover). at around 300% you take severe injuries per step. Try not to push it too far here, this won't give any indications but the injury.

Bags reduce weight WHILE EQUIPPED. If you've got a big hiking bag with 22 weight in your 2nd hand (80% reduction to count as 4.4) and you decide to go 2-handed with your bat; you might kill yourself trying to move. Put your biggest and best bag on your back when possible (only possible with duffle, hiking, big hiking I think).

Zombies chewing off your face isn't the only way to die... be safe out there.
