Returning to PZ? Already bought it prior to Steam?

Hello again survivor! If you need to know how to claim your Desura and Steam keys from an old account then you’re in the right place.

To find your way back into the clutches of the Zomboid horde, just follow these simple steps.

1) Initial Google Checkout / Paypal purchasers
First of all you’ll have to convert your existing PZ details into a Desura key. These were emailed to you when you first bought the game (and are not your Indie Stone forum user/pass).

So simply fill out this form, and you’ll be well on your way:

2) To find your Steam key on Desura
Go to this site to grab your Steam key from Desura:
http://www.desura.com/games/project-zomboid/keys

Alternatively, when logged onto Desura’s website, go to this page: http://www.desura.com/collection. Click on the ‘keys’ link, and you’ll find the Steam redeemable code listed there. You’ll be able to use this in the ‘Activate a product on Steam’ box that you’ll find in the Steam game menu.

Simple as that.

I had mine activated through Desura a good while ago. I just logged onto the site through the link provided above and it gave me the choice to unlock my steam key right then and there.
