UnIronically this! Macs are so overpriced that you can sell them, buy a very good Laptop with either Windows or Linux and have some spare money left over.
And then you don't have to be a corporate slave using stuff like Geforce Now, paying a subscription fee to a company to play games, which in the end you get nothing permanent back.
There is a simple reason why I use Apple and GFN. When all those Windows fanboys spent $1500-$2000 on a new "gaming" PC every year or two, not to mention the costs for the latest graphic cards, I save a lot of money. In those days you should also calculate the power consumption of your 1000W "gaming" PC.
With Apple I can get a slick Mac Book Air for less than $1000, that works fine for at least 5 years. A Mac mini for less than $600 with the same life span. actually I still have a Mac book from 2005 that got an SSD and a mem upgrade and still works fine.
With my founders account I pay less than $80 for GFN per year. I can play all games I want, usually they work flawless. I can also play them on my iPad or my TV.
Oh, forgot about the power bill. a Mac mini consumes max 100W. And playing on GFN it is almost idle.
So if you got math in school then tell me who is the idiot here. The one that pays $1000 for a mac mini and 5 years of GFN or play games, or the one that pays $4000-$6000 for HW in the same time span and has a 10 times higher power bill as well?
But hey, you are no sheep right? You don´t pay all this money to Intel, AMD, NVidia and all the countless companies like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte etc. because you never did the math yourself. You are proud to pay, right? Even when Nvidia sells you a new Graphics card for more $$ with less performance than the last years model.
And the world is changing. Everybody seems to move to ARM. Microsoft would have better teamed up with Apple instead of giving exclusive rights to Qualcomm. Every cloud is currently dropping x86 in favor of ARM to save power. And Apple demonstrated over and over again that ARM based M Chips are so fast it can emulate x86 with no noticeable performance drop.
I don't update my PC's or tablets every two years like you're saying. LOL, 100 watts
for everyday and productivity, hell yea boy
but ultimately, it's up to the devs whether they think theres a sizable market for mac silicon enough to support it. or if the framework/engine they use even supports it.
dont worry if you were al that interesting your fbi agent would already be able to look up everything about you
