If you really are desperately concerned about this then there is in fact an alternative. Click to open the window and your characters will start pulling at the window for anything from 1 to about 10 seconds. Then one of two things happen, either the window is forced open or you hear a noise like someone dropping a piece of wood and your character stops pulling the window. If you hear the wood dropping noise it means the window is forever sealed and the only way through is to smash it. Since most buildings have multiple windows I just go from window to window and try to force them open and only smash a window if they all get jammed which only happens really only buildings with few windows like those garages and sheds with a single window
I usually force windows open to get in unless im in a rush like im surrounded by zombies. This is not only a safer method than climbing through smashed windows but you can shut the window after you to slow or stop pursuit of zombies, and it's quieter so if you're at the back of a house armed with a golf club and there's a horde of 15 zombies in front of the house you can sneak to the back of the house, force a window open, climb in and shut it behind you and sneak through the house looting before exiting the same way
if that doesnt work I just deal with the risk of the window.
Floor trap would be pointless for damage. Shoes a plenty. But, as a crude intruder detction device. Maybe.
All hail the Necromancer!
Deep wounds and glass shards happened a few time to me (died from it a couple of time)
But If u have some: Tweezers used to remove glass from wounds
and Suture Needle + Twine for deep wounds...
Saved me a couple of time and when I have it, I never go scarvenging without it.
Other than that, it's gonna be a feature in build 32.
So either just wait for the next build, or get the IWBUMS.
