Stitching wounds - how to?
So I jumped through a window and now suffer from a deep, bleding glass wound that got infected. I figured out to use whiskey on the wound (though it did not stop the infection yet). Now I want to stitch up the wound, but I can't figure out how to. I have a needle on primary and twine on secondary but I cant find the option to "stitch wound" or whatever...

So - can anyone tell me step by step what to do? I really intend to be eaten alive by zombies rather then by an infected glass wound i can not treat -_-

Thanks!

You need needle and thread, not twine. thread is pretty commonly found in warehouses from what i remember, though if you are near a pharmacy suture needles and... im not sure but some kind of medical thread or whatever it might be called works too, infact they work better.

oh well, thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥ since I have no satured needle... The wiki said a normal needle works as well... So I will have to go out and search for one while bleeding and in pain. Thats life in the zombie apocalypse I guess

No thats correct, a normal needle will work, but you need thread instead of twine, the suture needle just doesnt hurt as much.

Ah ok, so, equipe needle as primary, thread as secondary and then right click in the health menu? I think I tried this before but no option appeared, but later I will try again. Thanks so far!!

i think you gotta right click the needle itself, not sure.

There I can only chose "new bandage" or something like that... And strangley thh thread disappeared from my inventory after equiping it secondary... Sound almost like a bug... Also the infection did not go away after treating it with whiskey...

did you find tweezers? I had a glass wound that needed them first in order to be be stitched or bandaged after, otherwise it wont heal. :pixelzombie:

Whiskey doesn't 100% work I believe, disinfectant is better. Makes sense since drinkable alcohol isn't as pure / strong as medical grade. Beyond that, disinfecting when an infection is already in place may not work? I know that irl you're supposed to clean before infections begin and it's harder to get rid of them once they've already set in.

you are meant to use whiskey and other alchohols to keep the wounds from being infected before-hand, however using improper materials (thread/needle and whiskey) are more painful then actual medical equipment so while they will heal just as effectively, they will hurt plenty, which means you will probably be scoffing pain-killers much more if you use the improper stuff.
