Catching the Rain...

Will only rainwater barrels catch rain, or can I leave out other containers? Say I left a cooking pot or bucket outside in the rain, would it fill up with water?

Just barrels. You can fill up the other stuff at every other water source, though. I try to stockpile pots full of water for both drinking and cooking.
