How did I add more points at the start again?

I remember you could somehow edit the amount of points you have in the character creation menu. How did I do it again? I completely forgot, as I haven't done it in over a year. I really want more perks without all the negative perks.

Go into your project zomboid steam folder. Go to media, then lua, then client, then, OptionScreens, then open CharacterCreationProfession.lua with notepad, and where it says
self .pointToSpend= 0 change 0 to whatever number you want for free starting points. Enjoy having every positive trait and no negatives:)

Edit: Will make the game INCREDIBLY easy though, so you have been warned.

lol dude how about a new thread, its from may 2015. Also pretty sure no since it would be "cheating" and is likely blocked in MP but never tried.

Still the #1 hit on Google, you want to edit the file CharacterCreationProfession.lua located here:

<steam dir>\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\lua\client\OptionScreens

Do a Search in your favorite editor for: self.pointToSpend

Change the 0 to your desired point start. Verified still working on 40.43.

Oddly enough the limit you can add there at the moment is 100, whereas you can have builds where, for example, the one I was about to build needed 186 points to be able to be built.
