Crawling zombies suck
It's a good idea that they're there to make you more carefull when moving near bodies, but what annoys me is that they dont have to be close to scratch you. I have better luck avoiding to get scratched by a standing zombie than a crawling one.

I just lost my guy from infection because of this, I was way out of reach but got scratched anyway.

I've taken a few scratches / punches (one to the nuts... Ouch) from zombies playing dead when they weren't close enough to reach me. I just try to make sure if I knock a zombie down I can kill it before it has a chance to do anything (knock it down and quickly run over and start smashing it with a melee weapon).

I hope that they're planning to fix this up; out of everything in this game it's the crawling bastards that always get me. It's just that distance you have to be from them, it also doesn't help focusing on that one crawler when pre-occupied with more zombies after you. To me it just doesn't seem fair.

That fact is their hitbox is kinda wonky. but it should be fixed when they add new animations.

Lolz. I met a crawler zombie, but it didn't move. I came over it. Should I be afraid that my char caught zombie virus? I must say that it didn't move, nor I could do anything to it.

It would be nice if crawlers can stall your movement instead by grabbing your leg etc. (with a chance to bite) while the walkers draw closer to your stationary position. This way, I wouldn't mind if they have a field day with crawlers but certainly not at the moment.

True, you must never engage them from the front beacuse of the scratches risk. Always go around them and beat them from behind or leave them be (note they will never turn around to face you in time). I lost way to many characters from crawlers :P

I have no issue attacking them from the front. I find the issue with them only really applies when they are first activating, during their roll over animation. Once they are turned over and crawling at you they take an axe to the dome like it's what they wanted. Crawlers are nothing really. Just don't be to close on their first attack.

Whenever I kill a crawling zombie I run past it and attack from behind. This only works with an open space however. One almost got me when I was running over some tall grass this morning. Scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me too.

their slow save them for last if anything is comming at you get some space and attach them, then when attacking the crawler/s ready weapon/sneak and use the wasd to circle them sometimes walking if they are turning to fast this also works with walkers with two or more too down more that one at a time.

I know, I'm just complaining about their hitbox.
