The Mall

Sooo. I want to take over the Mall that is located in the top east corner of the map. BUT I have only me to do it. Any tips on how to wipe out a mall full of zombies without becoming a zombie snack?

I don't beleive the building can ever be cleared, I think it automatically spawns zombies just for fun, sorta like an event thing.

Start a campfire inside of the movie theater, right inside the main doors, and add enough fuel so that it will stay lit for a while. Go back to the mall and open all of the exterior doors. Go outside of the mall and fire a gun several times, drawing the zombies toward you. Move toward the movie theater and fire several more times. Stop and fire as many times as you have to, trying to draw them away from the mall and toward the movie theater. Go into the movie theater, near the campfire, and open the doors. Fire your gun several more times, drawing them inside the movie theater. They'll walk through the campfire and light each other on fire instantly. Sneak out the back door and back into the mall without drawing the attention of the zombies. The movie theater will burn to the ground with about a thousand zombies inside.

If you clear any area completely and seal off the entrances, they won't spawn there any more. You can still enter and exit via sheet rope.

Well I just raided the Hunting place that is east of the mall, so I got plenty of ammo, but only found a hunting rifle, so that will have to work till I find a shotgun xD

Oh I know, I just thought the Mall was a special place that is never safe, and the zombies keep spawning.

I havent even attempted the mall but I watched a video where a guy lit a bunch of campfires outside and then got the hoard to chase him out of the mall and through the fires he literally killed a hundred zeds in one go like this. As the zeds burn and die they fall to the ground on fire and set more zeds on fire as they walk over the burning corpses causing a chain reaction of burning death.

I have nearly cleared the mall on my game. Just using the axe and shotgun. I have well over 2,000 kills. It's super dangerous but a lot of fun. Tons of narrow hallways. I set up a camp over at the cinema so I can escape if I need and I also barracaided a bathroom to sleep in the mall. Gotta just take it 1 zombie at a time, just try to stay safe and handle the group then move on.

well, I am slowly clearing it out. so far so good, I actually have two places to sleep now inside the mall.... almost at a 1000 dead zeds.

I got killed on the very very very last room to clear in the mall. I can't believe it got me, 1 little scratch. My character died with about 3 months and 3100 kills. The mall is empty... but i'm not left to make it my own.

Well, you can restart the same game with a new character, who gets the mall zombie free then =p You only lose your character, the map at least stays the same.
