High ping?
Hello guys, my problem is when i'm joining any public server my ping is around 60 for a minute or two, and then it goes crazy to 2k or even higher, may be some1 else had the same problem?

im having that problem too, iv tried hosting my own server too on the same pc im using an i still encounter massive lag and stuttering making it unplayable, as i keep dying and dont even know it.
i can't find any help on the current build appart from increasing ram which iv done but still not improved, iv changed all the options to the lowest and to the reccomended and still no change.

hopefully we gonna get a fix or some1 kind of advice some time) game looks very interesting, but having no chance to actually try it atm)

You don't have to play online..... Also the problem is people who host the game. The game has no official servers so the servers you are joining are just people hosting from home. You need to find a server that is hosted on a dedi box but I don't think there is any. I was thinking of running a PvP server on a proper dedi box but I doubt it would be popular enough for it.

well the strange thing is that the ping always behaves on the same way, u join server, u r completely okay, ur ping is 40-80, and then bam, in a minute or two it's suddenly 2000, and it's absolutely the same on the every single game i tried (i tried like 5 or 6)

Maybe that is a bug then, although I am yet to have that yet. I was on a server with a 3k ping then I found one that seems to keep my ping at 40. Maybe they have the zombie spawn rate set to high or something.

But don't forget to try the game with all its features use sandbox mode from the main menu.

I fixed this in the latest build 29 hotfix (29.3), need some test to be sure it's gone tho.
And need for Steam to notice and do that damn update :D

that's a good news. I only prefer multiplayer mode but with ping over 7k it's just not playable... The game with proper ping will be epic. :)
Can't wait to try this out with friends. Please let us know about any progress. :)

ZZZZzzzz... oh come on! How long is it about to take? The multiplayer mode sux atm, they've should fixed it already...

well i'm patiently waiting as well, but seems like there are some problems with steam updating project zomboid or smth)

Hopefully they fix this soon because I also go from 50-60 ping to over 9000 (No joke). Not sure if steam is sitting on it's hands or not...
