Obese/Overweight traits
What do they actually do? Is it possible to "max out" your athlete skills even with these traits? Is it still possible to be able to run as fast as an athlete after a long time of running and training?

realisticly if you could be an obese guy and lose all that weight, you deserve to be the fastest man/woman alive.

Real life doesn't work that way though.

pointless jabber as a reply ---> i dunno, with the right kind of motivation it would work, tho i'd prefer to go the whole route of wearing heavy and i mean HEAVY clothinging and adding more weight to it as you adapt untill you are at the point you can wear 2 times your own weight and still walk, then you strip it all off and become super human :P
or wait... was that in a dream...

but i digress, i think there was something about traits slowly wearing off if you manage to bypass so far into the skill points of it's oppisit, being sprinting

Yes, it is possible to lose those traits altogether and gain positive traits such as athletic, or strong. However it takes a very, very, long time to do so. I haven't done it myself, but others have so I do know it's possible.

How exactly would you acquire such traits?

I have been running everywhere for months, and I have not seen the sprinting or athletic traits. I usually do it encumbered with 3 hiking bags (back and both hands) but never see the strength traits.

It would be nice to know 'how' since it takes forever to see results and 'testing' things would not give me an answer.

This thread is nearly 2 years old, it could be that the game mechanics have changed.

Anyway in my games i lost the underweight trait, and now stay with my kg.
