Equip a Splint
My character had recently gotton a fracture, so I crafted a splint and it won't let me put it on.

Right click the splint, that should do it, if not right click the health menu

If you put a bandage on, take it off and put the splint on first.
You do it from your character portrait window, by right-clicking on the damaged area text.
