Eat, if you can keep at least one level of 'full', you will heal faster.
It will take probably 3 weeks, perhaps more if its a bad break.
Er...yes. It takes a good bit of time for someone not experienced in medical care to heal a broken bone. Consider that your character is probably not a doctor, and even if they are, treating your own injuries in a stressful environment such as an apocalypse is no easy, even for someone that has trained most of their life to fix broken bones. Then consider that you're likely not able to just sit in bed all day, like you would if you were to break a bone in the real world. You'd still have to find a way to get food, water, and to keep the zeds out of your stuff. A fracture is definitely going to take some serious time to recover from, and quite frankly, without some serious knowledge of how to properly set a broken bone like your foot or leg so that it heals properly, you're very likely to end up hobbling around for the rest of your life. Let's just count ourselves lucky that the devs haven't put in any ill effects for people with a low First-Aid skill treating a broken bone, to simulate that.
