Also, if I assume the former, it is still possible to get exhausted pretty quick. However, with this said, i still do not think you would get exhausted in 10+ hits lol. For example, if you kill 10 zombies per encounter, then you'd probably get exhausted fast even if you charge ur shots.
From the wiki "The character is tired from exerting themselves by running or
attacking too much"
Also, i've noticed unorthodox weapons tire you more quickly than something easier to use. Golfclubs, frying pans, etc... They wear you out(I dunno why a golfclub does, but hey...). Things like baseball bats, hammers, and poolcues are all easier to use as weapons. So make sure you are using something practical as well. (I know you mentioned a baseball bat, I'm just clarifying.)
I do overencumber sometimes, but then I atleast know why I am exhausted, but when I posted this yesterday I was trying to clear and area of 300ish zombies with nothing but my weapons.
I normally use it in both, except when carrying amazing finds in second bag. Yesterday when I posted this, as said above I cleared and area out with only weapons. So used in both. Still tired way to quick.
I do charge my attacks almost all the time, apart from a few times when being surrounded and have to knock em back quick.
