Exhaustion
I started a game a couple of hours ago, and it seems im getting exhausted way to quickly.

I use blunt weapons at the moment, its all I've found so far. I have upgraded all tiers of blunt to 2 or 3. I have 1-3 lvled skills in all aggility perks as well.
I do maybe 5-10 hits and im moderate exhaustion, I do just a few more and im extremely exhausted. At which point I might as well run away, since it'll take me 20+ hits to kill off a single zombie.

And before anyones says it:
No, I do not sprint everywhere and thats why im exhausted. I walk or sneak always.
No, I do not have the fat trait.

This just seems wrong to me... Anyone can swing a bat 10+ times without being extremely exhausted.
Are you all getting exhausted just as quickly?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I play with insane zombie count. Which makes it terribly difficult when I can only kill a few zombies before being exhausted.

Dyou charge your swing or dyou swing like a mad man? The latter will increase your exhaustion rapidly...

Also, if I assume the former, it is still possible to get exhausted pretty quick. However, with this said, i still do not think you would get exhausted in 10+ hits lol. For example, if you kill 10 zombies per encounter, then you'd probably get exhausted fast even if you charge ur shots.

attacking too much"

Do you equip the bat in both hands or just to the primary slot? If you equip it to just the primary slot, you are effectifly swinging it with just one hand, tiring you out very quickly. To use a bat(or axe) effectively, you have to select the "equip in both hands" option. You will tire much less frequently.

Also, i've noticed unorthodox weapons tire you more quickly than something easier to use. Golfclubs, frying pans, etc... They wear you out(I dunno why a golfclub does, but hey...). Things like baseball bats, hammers, and poolcues are all easier to use as weapons. So make sure you are using something practical as well. (I know you mentioned a baseball bat, I'm just clarifying.)
And I'm sure you already knew this but you haven't stated this yet, but if you have a full load (or just a bit over-encumbered) you will start to tire fairly quickly.

I do overencumber sometimes, but then I atleast know why I am exhausted, but when I posted this yesterday I was trying to clear and area of 300ish zombies with nothing but my weapons.

I normally use it in both, except when carrying amazing finds in second bag. Yesterday when I posted this, as said above I cleared and area out with only weapons. So used in both. Still tired way to quick.

I do charge my attacks almost all the time, apart from a few times when being surrounded and have to knock em back quick.
I think it may because you're playing on Insane Zombies. I tried that once and I got exhausted all the time nad because I was like you and cleared all of them out, it would take literally a full day just to make it down a few houses. I think you don't really notice it in normal mode because the time in between making it to other zombies is just enough for your character to have a short rest. While if you've got them everywhere around you, your character doesn't realy get that chance to rest in between the slaughter. You just stay terrified and alert.
Aaah I donno. If you can try to video record it so we can get down to the issue. I'm sure it'd help out the developers too if it is a bug.
