to travel at night or to travel by day.. that is the question..
So how good is zombie eye sight? How good is your eye sight for that matter.

Do ppl prefer to travel at night or by day, recon you can travel safer at night as long as you keep a split ear? :D
'spose another Q would be how good can a zombie hear n smell..

my character was not sleeping at night so i started to sleep by day n scavange at night, but i was worried about the diminished light so popped a sleeping tablet n crashed out at midnight, seems to have adjusted my sleeping... but should i have..

If i'm going far, i set off at like 4-5 o'clock in the morning. Otherwise, i much prefer the day. Houses are dark at night, which is dangerous. Especially in bathrooms...

I usually preferre to travel by night to be honest, simply, if for no other reason, than it makes it more atmospheric.

i guess i like to travel the streets at night n homes by day, night house searching was all good till the power went out

I travel by night - with my gamma set to 2x of the ordinary. The game is just far too dark for me to play at night otherwise.
I usually always travel during the day. Wayyy to dark at night for me, plus It's just safer for me. Only time I've traveled at night was when I was crossing cities. Any time it gets dark and I'm away from base, I just camp out in a room somewhere.

Anytime of day is good for me. when my guy is tired i sleep. doesn't matter when he gets up. day, night no biggie. the only thing i can say is nighttime while about to pass out from sleep is...not the best time to be out at midnight. thats the only thing.

I travel by Day purely because, and I'm not 100% certain here so don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure zombie's are not effected by low light where as your character is.

I usually aim to fall asleep at midnight so I usually wake up around 6-7 am, ill travel at night but not loot, though i prefer to be home safely before dark

Theres some old thread from a few months ago where this was confirmed.
You are putting yourself in a really unfair fight to travel by night.

I go by day almost exclusively; but my gamma is turned down rather low for atmosphere so maybe my opinion is biased.

What? That's just wrong - Since when did zombies magically get nightvision? Last I checked they were dead, infected humans with the same basic rules.

i was thinking that possibly their eyes are already screwed so other senses come into play though in the day light i will try to attract one zombie of a pack with sight.. not really tried it in the night though i felt safer as i figured harder for me to see same with them.. um, yeah, something like that heh

I could buy that - If zombies didn't specifically have a "sight" sense. I don't have a problem with them hearing the same at night. So do humans, heh.
