There could be some MP server where it use sandbox mode with no transmission; you just need to spend some time to find them. However, as far as I know most server who are populated are hardcore server thus you gotta play it like die-hard.

I play on my own server so no hardcore mode or whatnot just normal settings and I dont mind turning once being bitten that simply means you were careless and makes the game fun you have to watch your step but to die everytime after 1 single scratch is a different story lol

Then, you can start your sandbox mode where you disable transmission.

I still haven't been able to disable transmission of zombification in Sandbox - No matter what settings I pick, I will eventually get it, "die" (Become Zombified) and continue living on as a living zombie because I've made it not fatal.

As for scratches - 25% is 25% percent. It can happen one in four times - or a thousand times in a row (very unlikely). But there is no reason why you shouldn't be worried about every scratch you get.

In other words - There is nothing to fix. A percentage chance is a percentage chance. 25% does not mean "will only happen once every four times"

I know the meaning of chance :P and there is something to fix.. I rather change the chance to 5% orso just give the server admin the option

if there allready is a option to change let me know :)

I'd be all for allowing mods to change the infection chance (if it isn't already)

In fact - It wouldn't hurt to allow for chance modifiers. Was the wound properly cleaned as well as the bandage? Take off a few percent of the chance of becoming infected. Arm is becoming infected? Chop it off.

I like 25% chance. I think that is a very good number. A very annoying number. A challenging number. If I were given the option of changing that number, I don't think it would improve things for me. There is such a thing as having too many options. It is good to have a few options, but at some point, giving the player endless options to change everything can be bad. At some point the game stops being a tough survival game and starts becoming a "game builder" where you design and build your own game. That's not what I signed up for when I bought PZ. The satisfaction of beating a tough game, just the way it is, is something I like about PZ.They way I play it, I assume a single scratch means death. If I get lucky and survive, then that's an unexpected bonus.

Oh, and speaking of "lucky." The lucky trait only affects loot, I believe. That confuses a lot of people. I hope they give it a clearer name someday.

My friend got one scratch from crawling zombie and bled to death even if he bandaged himself and changed it when it got dirty. Just a scratch

I've noticed some pretty OP "scratches" too.

Assume every zombie _will_ kill you. You'll be more careful then :)

Odd, I've heard of other servers successful in disabling transmission/lethality. Well, only thing to do is take a look.

Could be some bad files on my end (even though I haven't modded anything yet) - I'll do a proper test of it tomorrow and see if I can reproduce the issue.

This can't happen on its own - I'll bet you that he bandaged a deep wound. Those wounds will be gushing out blood and bandages are only there to apply some temporary "blockage" pressure until you can rush him back to your base and use a (medical) needle with thread on him to suture the wounds as best can be.

This is a very common mistake for new players that don't know (or haven't noticed) a deep wound being different and much more critical - happens all the time to me when I have to force my way through a broken window.

I actually did medical check to him when he asked me what to for it. it just said "scratch" and I said it is just a scratch no need to stich it. lol
