Are spoons, forks, etc, useful?
Do i need a fork, spoon, etc to eat food with? Or are they just really crappy weapons?

Just really crappy weapons - Think you might need a kitchen knife to cut up animals though. Could be wrong - Haven't touched the cooking system yet.

You need kitchen knife for cutting watermelon and for making salads.

The kitchen knife also comes in handy to filet fish, or clean trapped animals.
I have found no use for the forks, spoons and butter knifes. (other than as weak weapons)

Butter knifes are great. 5 insta kills before it breaks if you are good at timing or make a chacter with grace and sneak up and BACKSTAB!

Kitchen knife also allows you to drill a hole in a plank for a firestarter kit, I believe. Not a terrible weapon for fighting zeds as well.

It would be cool if you could melt them all down into scrap metal and make something out of that ; tools,weapon parts ect.

There are many mods for that.

This is the part where I found this game getting tedious with so many junks around. For example, even I found a good use for soup in real life, but yet, you can't use them.

Many mods? All I've seen is one that allows you to create nails. Perhaps link to what you are referring to?

OMG I meant soap, not soup... anyway, there are many mods but you are probably aware that Build 30 has some new codes so many mods now aren't supported.
