The feature Thin Skin is gone
Because I don't cough every f'ing minute.
"In 1993, an estimated 46 million (25%) adults in the United Stateswere current smokers"
source: https://www.cancernetwork.com/view/cigarette-smoking-among-adults-united-states-1993
Smoker should not get cough,
Heavy smoker get cough
but who cough is the non smoker, every time they smoke
Cough should tie to Cigar right
everyone cough on a cigar
cigarette not so much.
But not only should cough chance break away from cigratette entirely
it should apply to spicy food aswell :) and strong unmixed alcohol
-sincerely, a smoker.
I don´t think you may have the best flavor with some old zigs wich exposed over weeks.
Not really. When you smoke cigars you're not supposed to inhale, just hold the smoke in your mouth which doesn't produce any cough. If you do inhale you would probably cough, but that's not how you smoke a cigar.
A few thoughts:
-The random cough that could occur after smoking that existed before this update has almost gotten me killed multiple times. I've always felt that was enough of a penalty for a 2 point trait.
-If the development team is set on adding a random cough, then smoker should be a 4 or even 6 point drawback. Taking this trait makes living near any population center impossible, and it even makes visiting and looting areas with large numbers of zombies extremely difficult even if you bring tissues. With how the the perk works as of this new patch, I would consider taking Restless Sleeper long before I would consider taking Smoker.
First of all, the coughing happens way too often. I play on 2 hour days and it happens in 1,5 to 3 minute intervals.
Sneaking should lower the volume of the cough automatically, like having a tissue equipped. Right now it's impossible to be somewhat sneaky with a two handed weapon since I have to use my offhand for a tissue to silence the coughing. My character should be able to realise that coughing loudly will attract zombies and therefore try to cough as silently as possible under those circumstances.
Since the coughing is so loud, I have to run outside constantly to kill the zombies that's banging on my windows and doors.
As it stands now this trait isn't worth it. Like at all. As the poster above, I would also consider Restless Sleeper over Smoker now. It's just not worth the points. As someone else posted, separating Smoker into two different traits could be a good idea. Smoker would be left as it was prior to this update, and Heavy Smoker would give more points but produce coughs at random intervals.
