DO crowbars even EXIST in B42
i dunno if any of yall having the same experience but for some reason even though the loot spawn rate is high i cant find a SINGLE crowbar. the only way i can seem to get one is via the week one mod. Anyone know where i can find em? they arent in their usual spots.

I got a few from hardware stores, and occasionally I find them in closets. But I think it's been a while since I found one in a shed or garage, if that's where you're looking.
I also don't think I've found any in factories or storage facilities in a while.
They sure are rarer now, but I can still find around a dozen or so going through the entirety of Rosewood and surrounding farmlands.

I think they came for the crowbar gang. They're trying to take us out by starving us of our prized weapon. However, I've heard we can make them now with smithing. Can't confirm yet though.
You probably need an advanced forge to be able to smelt a crowbar. You sure can dissolve one into a measly iron chunk with any furnace though.
dang thanks for the fast responses yall

I find them all the time.
Just not when I'm built for long blunt.

Incidentally, the new tire iron can be used as a prying tool. And you can find those in like 25% of car trunks. So if the reason you need a crowbar is to remove planks from windows or remove windows from walls, or pick up floor tiles, a tire iron will work fine.
Yes, it can be found. I had few crowbars in my garage. Depends on luckiness.

I've found six or seven this run (three months). Only a single baseball bat though. Rng be rng'n. Also I haven't found a single aiming or reloading book myself. haha

EVERYTHING is rarer in B42

B42 Rare loot setting is the equivalent of B41 extremely rare

I mean... We have paperbacks! Kek.
Lol, I’ve found so many that I had to build dedicated storage for them. So many that although I’d started with the intent to go short blunt, I took it as a sign to go long blunt. Meanwhile, in the same and current 500+ hr playthrough, after 9 in game months of fruitless searching, I finally resorted to learning to CRAFT sledgehammers. Rng be that way.🤷🏻‍♂️ My best advice is to level Metalworking til you can craft a crowbar.

Who needs Crowbars if they have high level metalworking though? High level Blacksmith allows you to make swords and machetes, much stronger weapons whan crowbars will ever be. Better get out of this trash sifting mentatlity, build yourself a forge and start training long blades ASAP. I'm cuttently at the end of winter with Long Blades 10 (required like 15000 kills with books though). Machete pretty much one hit KO everything most of the time, still does well at first level of exertion, pretty durable at maintenance 9 as well.

Main point however, remains the same. Starting up Blacksmithing game sooner rather than latew will give you much more than time wasted on fruitless hunting for some melee weapons. Even at low levels plenty of great goodies and tools can be made by smithing.
