Any driving tips?
due to the camera angle, you can't see anything beyond a dozen feet, my run ended when i was going down the highway, saw a crashed car, brakes, realizes it's too late, turns into the fence dies... Look it might be a skill issue but it's just not realistic that you can't see more than 20 feet

well there's an option in the ui settings to "pan while driving" this will make the camera focus more on what's in front of you the faster you go, but unfortunately you still have to go at least 90 to get it to pan fully, but it's a big help. you can also change how far the camera can zoom out. other than that there is this wonderful program called joy to key, it allows you to drive with a controller but still use mouse+keyboard on foot, which is the best way to do it. there is also a mod called "better car physics," which, among other things, makes the brakes actually slow the car down. but the mod does have some manual installing steps.
also, picking the speed demon trait will increase break performance by 15%. and finally if you let the air pressure in your tires down to about 15 psi the car will slow down faster.

Cruise speed at 30~60mph by holding shift+W and S.
And use Space to break instead pressing S.

oh and also if you know you're going to crash, aim for the car instead of the fence next time. crashing into a car will not damage either you or the car you are driving as much. but crashing into something solid can ruin your day for sure.
Using the "pan while driving" setting will cause you motion sickness imo.
It's better if you just open your window, enter combat stance, and pan the camera manually that way. It can also reach further away compared to the setting.
that doesn't work for me because i keep my eyes on where I'm going as opposed to just staring at the car, and the camera doesn't move with the car that way so it's hard to keep track of where it is in relation to the road. It's a good method though. Of course leaving the window down could spell death if you're not careful, so If you wanna do it that way and you don't want to roll the window down, you can use the normally unbound "pan camera" option and do it that way. I set it to right alt because my thumb is kinda naturally resting on it when my hand is on wasd. But you could probably do right ctrl and just put something heavy on the key while you're driving lmfao

for clarification the "pan camera" I'm referring to is a keybind not a UI setting. it works the same as holding rmb except you don't go into combat stance.

Drive slow
Open driver side window with v menu and hold right click and look forward :)
(Just make sure to close window when needed tho)

20-30mph on backroads, 30-40mph on roads that can fit 2 cars, 4-lane roads use your discretion.
