Strange Bug regarding Water Barrels

Ok, so now i got my first realy annoying bug - anybody encountered something similar?

It started with me crashing the car, breaking my upper torso and trying to get back to base.
The Game suddenly just crashed. I started again, everything looks as usual, i reach the base and try to get some bandages clean: The Sink i connected to the water barrel stopped working. To be more specific: Right-Clicking on the sink no longer gives any kind of menue regarding the sink. And to my horror - the exact same thing goes for EVERY Rain colector i built. They are ALL empty now und have no longer a context menue if i right click them. So my whole Water supply is gone now.

If i pick up the collector and put it back down (And not BREAK it in 50% of the cases) i can use it again, but it´s empty now.

Has anyone ever encountered this type of error? Losing all my Water is a pretty bad blow :(

That's because the game crashes, the game automatically saves no matter how you close the game, which makes your game save corrupt. It was like what I experienced when at my house the electricity went out while playing Zomboid, when i continued again the save game became strange, some items disappeared and the zombies were full again. That was before i used UPS.

same thing happened to me. picked up the barrels, set them back down and they worked again, but were empty.

The part about the water being gone after you pick the barrel up is probably an oversight related to the new liquid system. You can't pick rain barrels if they have water inside in B41.

For the other issues, do you use mods? Crashing could cause problems, but if everything breaks like that, mods can also be the cause.

Yes, i do run mods (the mod that helps barrels to fill up even when not near them) and some mods like dommon sense or additional cars. I also think this might be an issue with a mod, but i never had a crash before and i never lost ALL water at once. Not game breaking but pretty annoing :(

The crash is the cause of the missing water. And the mod is probably what makes it worse. Or could be the cause of the crash itself.

Strange enough: I just played again and after the first drop of rain, all collectors are full again. I think whatever caused the problem, fixed itself. Only thing bad now is my character slowly dying from the result of the car crash - broken ribs and nothing seems to regain health - it hust only drops :(
