But the limit of 50 capacity for the character is hardcoded as far as I know. With the weight reduction of equipped bags, you can stretch that 50 capacity further; and some rare few interactions will forcibly exceed that 50 capacity, but when you exceed 50 capacity you can't do anything in your inventory except drop things on the ground/in storage until you go back below 50 capacity.
In vanilla you're pretty much restricted to wearing two fanny packs front and back and then equipping a military backpack.
Best trick I know for boosting carry capacity to an obscene degree is by equipping the heaviest stuff you're trying to carry in your hands, and then force unequipping them. This way you can fill your boots to 50kg and then unequip say, two 30kg water containers (which would become like, 9kg in each hand or something) which would then make your inventory 110kg I guess. Something like that anyway - I haven't played in a while so I don't remember the specifics, but you can equip basically anything in the game into your hand and it'll reduce the weight by like 70%, a lot of people forget this especially when lugging stuff like beds and fridges around, it can save a lot of effort.
You can do it with bags too, as mentioned - it's kinda neat to bring duffel bags with you and then fill 'em with loot and then carry them, one in each hand, along with your main backpack stuffed full of loot too.
While you cannot even push Zombies like this you are able to carry a lot of items. Good for transferring loot in a safe location
