B42 sewing
I`m kinda new to the b42. And what i see as the frist thing is new system of sewing and everyting releated including cloth. Just found sewing kit with needles and thread, but to MAKE a thread you already need a lvl 1 sewing. Any suggestions on how to live?

I haven't played in a while but I watch the occasional video from time to time. I think you can pick thread. If you can get rags or denim strips you can use a needle or tweezers to pick thread and get skill that way.

And I THINK you can craft a hood out of a pillow case with almost nothing and it MIGHT give sewing skill?

Anyone with current game knowledge might wanna jump in.
Press B look up shorten. Shortening long sleeve shirts, formal shirts, crop top with arms, skirts, and long socks all give 2xp before multipliers. I like to collect long socks and skirts. Since your new collect every pair of scissors you find, they have sharpness and durability now.

oh god ur my savior. Basicly if your calculations are right, to lvl up you need to shorten 38 clothes elements.

No you cant just pick a thread from denim or leather. To do so you need 1 lvl sewing
Destroy sacks/large sacks for bulrap piece and craft sacks with bulrap + twine/thread, rinse and repeat. Shortening clothes was too much of a hassle for me

This right here. I didn't like the process of shifting through corpses for clothes that were capable of being shortened and filling up my inventory with non-loot while out looting. I go out getting hemp dogbane. Can usually get like 75-90 pieces of hemp per foraging trip. That can be woven into twine by hand. and burlap pieces with a simple loom. I just make sacks and use those sacks for inventory management at the house, sacks of sand, clay, etc.

I stand corrected thats much better. To forage hemp dogbane, don't you focus wild plants for the burlap. I feel like I wasted so much time, on many runs I didn't even get far enough to tailor in :)

Yes, focus "Wild Plants"
Sewing kits spawn often in bathrooms. I find these are the best source of easy to find thread. Just make a habit of checking the bathrooms while looting houses.
Yea it's all about burlap until you start leveling up
