Is it just me or do rocks absolutely refuse to spawn on roads surrounding echo creek in foraging mode?

Seriously ive spent like an hour walking up and down those roads and foraging spawns absolutely nothing directly on the roads. Ive found more animal skulls than flint nodules.

Ive started multiple saves and no rocks, i was getting a few rocks very rarely back when B42 just came out on unstable but it kept becoming worse and worse and I cannot find any flint to craft with.

Rocks are pretty much all over that you can find without even using Forage, and digging up a large stone can be broken into 10 rocks.

But... I agree with you about Flint. In my 42.7 save, I've leveled Foraging up to 10 and I still have yet to see a single piece of Flint proc. I'm well past needing any Flint now, but it would have been nice to find some early on when it would have been useful.

[The early worm deserves the bird]

Just right click and pickup the ones off the ground. The ones that are just rocks in the grass you can pick those up now. No foraging required. All those images you couldn't interact with before can now be interacted with. Tree stumps can be torn up and large stones can be broken into smaller ones. If that doesn't work forage on roads with cracks and potholes in them. They tend to have them.

Thats wild that you haven't found a single piece of flint and you're foraging level 10! theres gotta be something going on there lol im only foraging level 5 and I have found quiet a few, my base is at the guns a blazing inn it's between West point and the big city and I find a lot on the roads near there.

Yea I know bro but I cant find any flint in the one area its supposed to spawn in for ages now. I have to forage in areas that have rocks listed as extremely rare and pray I find a flint nodule eventually

I wanted to start the same thread.
I live north of Echo Creek, east of Irvington on the farm with the small lake and the bridge.
I haven't found a single flint flake or flint nod and i searched the whole area. Streets, forests, greenland, farmland ... .
I found one large flat stone in the small forest within the farm fence (i crushed through the whole trees to find it though). I am at level 6 foraging atm.

I found 2 large flat stones without foraging. I used the "remove" option, like with logs. The stones where removed, but they weren't in my inventory either. First time i thought i made a mistake, but second time it was gone too.

I have the feeling that there is something off. Even if i wouldn't focus on stones and just search f.e. on a field or in a forest, shouldn't i have found at least 1 flint?

Maybe i try the gravel path down to Echo Creek, but i don't have a lot of hope.
This sucks because i especially started with carving to be able to craft some tools i need. Which is axes, since i still don't have an axe except for small ones.

Apparently there is a flint node you can mine with certain hammers like, sledgehammers and club hammer. it gives you some flint module and sharp flint flake.

It doesnt let me mine it with hammers since the unstable came out and i havent been able to grind my way up to the stone maul because THERES NO FLINT FOR ME TO CRAFT SHARPENED FLAKES OUT OF. Theres plenty of large stones for me to grind xp with but I need the nodules to make myself the most basic tool of all, a sharp thing.

Only a few, the only mod I could see causing an issue is the long term preservation mod because it adds salt rocks into the foraging tables but why would mods completely disable items from spawning on roads. Like stuff literally wont spawn on road tiles, it will spawn literally anywhere else but road tiles.

i wish i had an answer for that but basicly durring unstable any mod can break any number of unrelated things - and ive been foraging quite a bit and what im getting is an over abundance of everything - also i would ask do you set your focus to "stones" when trying to find stone? you should get alot more rock and clay and such with that - sometimes its a combination of mods and theres so many mods... its a nightmare to sort out

I do set it to stones but since stones are listed as extremely rare in all biomes other than roads it still takes me a while to find anything. I disabled the long term preservation mod and still nothing spawning on roads, thing still spawning just outside of roads tho. The main road im searching is the dirt road that goes south out of echo creek next to the river
