How does it work? Standardized Vehicle Upgrades 3
I'm still new to PZ. I don't understand how the Standardized Vehicle Upgrades 3 mod works. I don't see a menu item in the game. This is the mod:

I want to use this mod in an existing game. The mod description says:

Regarding Existing Saves:
Simply enable the new "Zombie Items" submod in your save, then kill some mechanic, metalworker, construction, redneck, militia, raider, and/or survivor zombies. "Zombie Items" allows for these zombie types to rarely spawn the magazines.


But what is the 'zombie items submod'? I can't find it.

Can anyone please explain how I should install Standardized Vehicle Upgrades 3?

Looks clear cut to me.
Never used this mod myself, but looking at the description I'd assume this allows you to craft reinforcement for your car. Which probably is only available after you read the added magazines.

The mod also comes with 3 individual toggles you can activate separately in the Mods list in-game. Zombie Items is one of them.

Oh wow. I understand now. Didn't think of the individual entries in the mod menu, but now I see them. Thanks! I only have to wait now until the magazines spawn.

Btw: is it true in existing games that items from newly added mods don't spawn in cells that I've already visited? For example: I've added Filibuster Used Cars midgame, but the cars don't spawn in areas that I've already visited.

Yes, because the cell data has already been populated, so no new item/vehicle spawn can happen in cells you've visited. The only exception being when you use loot respawn.

Speaking of this mod, has anyone found the magazine ever? I suspect spawning is broken for it in b42

Edit: Finally, finally found it after searching almost every house in Muldraugh and West Point.
