Game freezes when character is about to wake up
I'm building a base from scratch on west point bridge. I put a bed on the second floor, which is just a floor, with no walls or nothing, and a roof for now. When I sleep, just in the moment when the character is about to wake up, game freezes and I have to finish it. When I start the game again and my save, it is the same in game hours, my character is awake, but with the same fatigue as before, and a little hurt, as he had fall or something. What bugs my mind is that it happened once, and then, next night, he slept and woke just normal, but, in the next night, the same problem happened again. This had already occured to someone here?
I didnt yet test with no mods and all, so this is why I'm not adressing this problem in the bug session for now, I just want to know if it is happening to more people
Edit: I'm playing the newest version in a 42.7 save

I am currently running into an issue where the game is locking up while sleeping and my character should be waking up (its stuck at the alarm time)

It seems pretty close to what is happening here. I'll run some tests to see

Any way to fix this?
I saw this happen once so far as of 42.8.1 but I wasn't able to replicate it. That said, after forcing the game to close and relaunching it, I reloaded the save and didn't appear to lose anything. So at the very least the devs' statement of improved save writing might be legit

I tried to move the bed to the ground floor, which is the bridge floor. The game freezes before the sleep clock scene starts. When I start the game again, my character spawn just outside the bridge, facing louisville direction. I thought it could be something about the bed AND the bridge or about a moved bed or bad placed bed, since I had been sleeping on a game preplaced bed without problem. So, as a test, I tried to sleep in a car on the bridge lol the clock scene starts, but the game freezes before the character awakes again. But, now, when I started the game, it came back in the car, at the sleeping clock scene just before the character awakes, and then it frozen again, breaking my save game for good. I did not manage to do other tests, like trying to sleep on a moved bed inside an already built house or even on a bed outdoors, just to see if it's something like the game not considering my base as indoors place or something
Same here, I've had to start a new game several times because of this crash and for now I give up on this update
If you have this issue, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\%UserProfile%\Zomboid?
You can use any file-sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like limewire.com for example.

We are still investigating this problem.
