Honestly, once a patch for every month or two would be perfect. I'm not asking for every patch to be multiplayer, at all. But once every so often so that I can try new content with friends is the way to go.
i wouldn't expect to see it updated for a LONG time due to the problems it had lol there was always massive desync between players for EVERY interaction, sprinters never worked correctly even when modded back in, engineer skills never functioned and players trying to pvp found out that stat values are completely different to pve stats haha
Sorry not sorry if that upsets people. Thats reality. Cleaning up that mess is a colossal task. If it wasn't so fun to role play a cooking show about foraged item soup with some friends while zombies bang on the windows no one would even play multiplayer, thats how jank it is.
i really hope the dev can clean it up, it always had huge potential but most players will just give up due to the endless frustrating bugs.
She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes...
What's really an obnoxious thing is being told how to do your job by some random bystander because he once bought something from you and instantly think he know how your whole business works.
Game's a one time purchase, there's no recurrent fees(subscriptions, MTX, etc.). It's not like they were taking their time on purpose, if they do they gain nothing from it.
B42 is not meant for fun, it's a test phase and they're just looking for unpaid testers (because it's cheaper. Yes). Your options are:
A- Take the job seriously and help them by thoroughly test stuff and fill bug reports when needed.
B- Sign-in for the job but not actually do it so you can play the new features and cry when you savefile breaks.
C- Stay on 41.78 and do whatever you were doing before and pretend B42 never existed.

There is also the official Discord, Reddit, X/Twitter, and the rest. You can find links to these on projectzomboid.com in the upper-right corner of that web page.
Sometimes it's easier to ask instead of being gone for months or years, and scrolling through grocery lists of updates. I'd rather get an answer from a fan who has kept up with the updates, and knows, than spend time hunting down the answer.
Its always a: "i´m too lazy, someone have to tell me..."
