So if everyone in discussion says that generators are missing...
Does this mean that generators extinct in my old save?

No. Generators you have in your base at ground level may be gone, but they still spawn normally in the world.
I'm guessing all existing generators are gone from areas you've already been to, but when you go to new unexplored areas, you'll have normal chances to find new generators.

I had a generator on a first floor level that got spared, and generators stashed in vehicles didn't disappear.
Lesson: grab extra gennys and gas cans, leave them stashed in car trunks.

Basicly its not the generators that gets reset along with all the items around them but the actual placable object that is a generator
Noticed after patch, my generator went missing by the gremlins when the patch reintroduced a bench that I moved to put my Generator near a door.
Is it possible to spawn in a replacement generator from the debug menu?
There goes my perishables
