b42 magazine spawns?

So I've been playing for a couple in-game months, cleared a fair bit of territory, etc. I'd really like to be able to level my mechanics skill, but I cannot find the various skill magazines anywhere! So I'm stuck not being able to modify 90% of the car components due to needing "intermediate mechanics",

Bookstores are useless now, filled with 90% random boredom books. And the rare skill book spawns are cluttered with garbage like "Pottery IV". Where the heck is everything now?

If you are searching for mechanic skill books or mags specifically, check car repair shops, garages and storage lots, high chances to spawn there. But in general skill mags are more evenly distributed now, so you can find them pretty much everywhere, from houses to cars and mailboxes.

I have had a lot of mags mechanics type pop up yes in residential region. Schools. Survivor zombies. Survivor homes. Post office.

They added beside the random looted house a new system.
Random book burners. After a certain time passes every house has a chance that the skill book that would have been spawned there was taken by the book burners, and was used to start a fire.

I mean, I'm running through first few days, hitting every nearby house and mailbox, and basically zero skillbooks or useful magazines. It's all TV guides and random novels.

This is because spawns of books changed significantly in B42. School libraries now only have low level books, shops can have intermediate books, but for everything else you have to look at the appropriate locations. Mechanics can be found in garages, repair shops and car part shops. Please note that mechanic books now can spawn in small workshops near the houses (!). For farming books - visit farimng stores and barns in actual farms. Aiming and Reloading books are carried by Survivor zombies, most commonly encountered in some small camps near rural roads in the middle of nowhere. Books also occur in special library Van event on the roads and in Mail vans as well.

Take a careful look on zombies you are fighing, some of them have satchels and backpacks full of goodies including tens of books sometimes. Maradeiur and Survivor type zombies are the major source of high level e.g. level 9-10 books, that almost never spawn anywhere else. Also check out the survivor houses, the often have some nice books as well, but you need to find survivor houses first.

Just as an example, it's the contents of some random Survivor zombie on the rural road. If you have a question where are those "relevant" places for some skill book you are looking, i can approximately tell that, but writing down them all here will be too long. But feel free to ask. Good luck!

I oddly found quite a few magazines in the large church in Muldraugh. It has magazine racks in two different locations and I think I saw about 6-7 skill magazines there.
