Project Zomboid

No more Thursdoids?
Just curious, did I miss something, did TiS stop Thursdoids and/or updates at all since the B42 release? I've gone to the their site a few times and the news section remains empty for 2025.

They tend not to do them if there isn't anything of note to show. Not to say that they're doing nothing right now, just that a month of "More bug fixes and some fringe features" isn't really worth making news posts for.

They are not doing thursdoid for now to fully focus on B42. Since we should get to see most of what they are working on on the unstable branch as they update it, they wouldn't have much to say that wouldn't be in the patchnotes.

Yah okay, fair enough I guess. I agree it would probably not be much for content, but it still seems like something that I thought they were committed to doing and always did every month no matter what, just to keep the formal line of communication open with the player base, etc.

Not a big deal to me really, but I'm kind of curious how the bug fixing is going, potential ETAs (I know it's going to be a while still), and so on. Just wanting to stay up to date on the formal news, but there isn't any since Christmas.

Love to see this.

It made sense when there wasn't constant updates but now they're pumping them out left and right compared to the long hiatus of backend work.

Why did the monthly updates stop? It's been three months and nothing, besides patch notes that mean nothing.

How long is there going to be a delay in the actual game, because lack of communication always, always points to such.

We are not doing blogs currently because there is nothing to say in blogs, because we are focused on the build that the blogs were showcasing originally, which is now out until we have completed it.

We are now at that stage, and focusing on the development of that build with public feedback.

Patch notes do not "mean nothing", because they're continued improvements, fixes, new features + new content into the game. I'm unsure why a blog would be preferable than updates to the game at this point when it's at a stage to be publicly tested and receive feedback.
