Project Zomboid

At breaking point and unable to sleep for no reason at all - first night - perfect condition - safe
Very first night, tried sleeping and woke up 3 times in a row in a panic for no reason and now I am stuck "at breaking point". No hunger, no thirst, no pain, no injuries, no infections, not bored, no negative traits, not a smoker, no zombies around, no blood, not dirty. Literally absolutely perfect health in every way and this character is completely unable to sleep and has never successfully slept (3 failed attempts and now can't try again). I haven't played in over a year but the game was not like this at all in the past. There has to be some kind of bug, right?

I even consumed some random antibiotics I found thinking it could be a hidden illness or something

Just like RL, antibiotics are only for bacterial infections. They don't do anything for viruses.

They aren't magic healing beans.

Your character probably had a nightmare event and is now too anxious to sleep. Unless you have stress reducers or sleeping pills, you're just gonna have to deal with poor sleep until the next night.

The 'brave' trait can be useful if you don't like being scared of living in a zombie apocalypse.

Workout
I don't suppose you're playing with mods by any chance?
Did you pick smoker or restless sleeper as a trait?

Try reading some books/novels to calm down. Then try sleeping in a car.

something can trigger nightmares. I cannot tell if it is the sound of the rain or if i'm eating meals that make me unhappy before bedtime or just rng. havn't used debug mode to test just trying to figure it out ingame atm.

Speed up the time, once the character recovers by themselves, you will be allowed to sleep again.

Staying indoors too long causes sadness.
