[B42] Electricity Shutoff
Hiya folks. I've been testing the new build with an incredibly lax game-play session, and I wanted to set the Electricity shutoff to a minimum of 3 months before the thing ticks. However, on the 7th day, the electricity in my trailer in Rosewood (trailer at the construction yard) just died outright. Is there still no 'minimum' number of days that can be set, or did I input the 'minimum' wrong (I set the Electricity thing to 90)?

It's still anywhere from zero to whatever you set, I think.

it's 0 to 30 days, 0 days to x months, 2 to 6 months, 6 to 12 months, i seem to remember. 2 to x months would be the better setting.

I think there's also a setting so it never goes out.

The upper numbers are hours, not days. They take precedence over the lower set of days/months/years. You ended up setting it to a guaranteed 90/24 which is 3 and 3/4 days. The stock settings are guaranteed 14 hours then anywhere to 30 days after.

Set the top numbers to 2160. That's 2160 / 24 gives you 90 days. Then after that you have the lower set will kick in with its random days to whatever you choose. If you leave it at the stock 0-30 then the power/water will just turn off instantly at that upper number limit.

Yep, can turn off water and power shutoff altogether.

Pretty sure the exact numbers don't do anything at the moment. I already tried setting the exact numbers to a small number (1-3) and the shutoff range to 2-6 months. Neither water or electricty shut off at just 1-3 hours/1-3 days.

What they do is storing a randomized number of the shutoff day once you start the game. I think at least. You can check this using debug mode then open the sandbox settings menu.
B42 only has 0 to an amount of time, so it is ALWAYS possible it goes out immediately.

There is an option in B42 if you have -debug mode turned on to set a number of days BEFORE electric or water goes off. It is an entry box where you type in the number of days you want. I set electric to 30 and water to 32, and only after that will it be possible for them to turn off.
