Project Zomboid

1 fps all of a sudden
Was out driving, did a bit of tracking, then my fps gradually slowed until it ground to a halt. Seems fine when I start a fresh game. My save just bricked itself?

Try restarting the game, make sure you have no mods, and try seeing if theres any animals around maybe theyre doing it. Also thought I read somewhere that tracking animals caused someones fps to drop maybe its from that? Could try on a new fresh save to see if it happens again
Thanks. Have been playing around with it. I managed to reverse back away from my base and it springs back to 60 fps. There is a point when I get close to the base the fps drops. Has it spawned a million chickens at my base or something? lol

Debug mode message: Invalid SpriteConfig - Scripted Object Null
the save isn't bricked at least. 6 months worth of in game base possibly overrun by a billion chickens :/ :D

lol it could be i see the chickenocalypse been happening a lot to people , you can login to debug and remove animals and see if the fps jump back up lol
just tried that. I can just about see my animal enclosure from this distance. Animals gone. I had pig-a-geddon a few days back. No fps issues during that, though.

I had an issue at my base and one of my turkeys had duplicated and caused the frames to drop. Debug deleting the animals fixed mine.
I suspect chicken revenge. Before nipping out in the car I did kill a couple chicks that were annoying me cos they would not stay within the fences.

There's something at a fixed spot in my base the game isn't liking. Guess I've been made homeless lol
