Step Van issues?
Ive had about three or four instances witht he chevalier step can, especially the cereal themed one, where a random time of exiting it i swear send a noise ping out to the ENTIRE CELL. i dont honk. i dont drive. just got out of my truck after getting in to storte some stuff in the seat or glovebox, and suddenly zombies for MILES are swarming. almost like when you trigger an alarm. like i even tried turning the engine noise drawing attention way down to see if it was just that loud if i turned the engine on or something. but this last play through id not driven it for almost a whole day. just popped in and out after throwing some stuff in the glovebox, and suddenly im turning my volume up to se if theres an alarm or something. no. is anyone else habving this?? also are sledgehammers missing from the game? been to warehouse after warehouse, tool shop after shop and not a single one...

Some of the cars do a door ajar noise when you get in and out. It's only one ping, for a second, but if you have default settings, some zombies have pinpoint hearing and will come from FAR away at the little bing when you get out of the car.

As for sledgehammers, they're just rarer due to the bloat of new items in the loot pools. I've had the most luck with garages on homes, I play on high loot settings and I hit a couple dozen before I found a sledge. More variety means less of any specific thing. Plus the usual vagaries of RNG and you can always get bad luck.

I hear the best shot at a sledge is finding he construction road event spawned in, as there is a sledge that spawns with that.

tip on the sledgehammer..turn up road stories in sandbox, youll get more construction trucks at manhole covers. Many times a sledge will be layin in the road.
About the zombie swarms, do you have speed demon? I find if I hit reverse at ALL i will attract the entire neighborhood. How loud is the engine in that truck? It may be set high on those particular ones.
I also drive stepvans but blame my entourage problems on speed demon.

thanks every one. i do have zeds set to random so maybe thats my issue.
