How do you level tailoring to level 1 in B42?

I know there's the sewing kits, but those are really rare. Is there any other away aside from traits?

Craft something. If you are lucky enough to get a sack or a burlap piece, you can create a sack then break it down back into a burlap piece. Rinse and repeat.

You can also add padding to clothes without holes (and/or patch holes). Take the patch/padding off. Put it back on. Repeat. I start by ripping up everything a pile of corpses is wearing for patches. You will also need a fair amount of thread, though. I've not had much trouble as I find a sewing kit every couple of houses.

Haven't gotten around to grind the skill yet but I've seen a tailoring recipe to turn rags into thread.

find long skirts and long socks -> open craft menu and choose shorten skirt or sock. For me i just perk +1 to save the hassle

Ain’t no way, seriously?

Remember when you could just rip clothes in a pile of bodies all at once. Then they did away with that and made it so you had to select each individual zombie.

Now with B42U it takes a lot longer to rip each individual clothes, apparently you get no thread, AND scissors break?! Wtf…

you can sharpen it to full with crude wet stone right after it lose sharpness to conserve it tho

And you can use a bugged safety scissors. You cannot lose condition if don't have it :)

right, but needs level 1 tailoring last I looked. I used a mod that makes it level 0 to pick thread out xD. Because I have ZERO skill IRL but I can sit and pick a seam.
