I'll get the ball rolling:
That's bound to be a lot of tedium and only ever work on standard babied difficulty presets like apocalypse and such. Also, this combination does not "mitigate" each other, if anything it's a feedback loop if you can't find weigh gain food for a while. Again, works only on babied settings.
That's a better mitigation example, but i would recommend against it tbh.
This combination was a thing in prior builds, especially on higher pop settings. I'd argue with muscle strain now, there is a big emphasis on being able to reach a fair (5-6) weapon skill level in order to mitigate muscle strain as much as possible, as early as possible. This trait combination nukes that. So nope for me.
Nope. Never ever take short of breath. Fitness is your most precious resource and short of breath which is the former asthmatic trait is a huge nopers.
140% running/sprinting endurance loss. 130% increase in swing endurance lost.
No thanks.
You choose to take fear of blood. Fine, i also play with that trait and endure the tedium, which many people here don't seem to do. But then why don't you take any of the other panic related traits (coward, claustrophobic). Okay you took brave, which i disagree with, but Claustrophobia would be as close to a free trait to you as possible. Imo if you engage with panic related traits, you go all in or you don't.
For the positive traits:
If you're looking to trim the fat i would remove:
- keen hearing, brave, eagle eyed, cat's eyes, inconspicuous.
So tl:dr:
You can try this build, i just think it sucks for how i play the game. in B42 more than ever you need to have a point in a weapon style in order to not have too many issues with strain. Unless i missed it, your build doesn't get any.
Also you *need* wakeful. And I don't think eagle eye increases gun range, but rather gives an accuracy bonus to weapon sights at long range, which are different things.
radishes supply hearty appetite, but it is not true to fast metabolism.
I will always take hearty appetite and Fast Metabolism specifically because they work so well in apocalypse mode. I've never had trouble finding food based on how I play so these are free points for me in particular to how I play.
Short of Breath and Fit together is enough for me because this is more of a sneak around and loot build than a Smash or Shoot build.
Thats why you see me taking traits like Keen hearing and Inconspicuous, I see things so they dont see me. Combat is only for when that fails.
I took Brave and Fear of Blood because for my build in particular, if things go bad, they go REALLY bad. Its very much all-in on stealth and spot removal. Based on my playstyle I should never be in a situation where Fear of Blood is a problem, and Brave is an insurance policy that panic doesnt nerf my character at the start so I can deal as much damage to escape.
This build is very much optimized to how I play, but I get that youre one of those players who spam Q in the middle of louisville with an axe, lol! This build is definitely not for that.
No, they mitigate each other. High Calorie and Low Calorie foods lower hunger, but you'll generally eat more of them because of hearty appetite. You can test this out with the Nutritionist trait and see how fast your character gains and loses weight. Personally I've tested this already and this is what I've found if you dont want to go through the trouble.
Fast metabolism works best with binge eating low calorie foods like vegetables, but still works with mid-high calorie foods like canned foods. You definitely dont want to eat Cakes and Chips, but thats true for even people who dont take fast metabolism unless youre dying of starvation.

with cats eye,
but the high thirst bonus change from +6 to +1, it broke my legs
Erm no i don't spam q in the middle of louisville my dude. I play on 16x pop with insanely rare loot. I try to approach those threads with bad build suggestions from the point of view of people playing the standard apocalypse setting or easier.
I am glad you enjoy your build. Like i said, i pointed some aspects which i think are really no-gos for me, but you do you.
I think you may have misread me somewhat. Yes, food is stupid abundant in everything above "insanely rare". Yes "insanely rare loot" can still feel somewhat abundant if you're also playing in babied population settings. Aside from that my point had more to do with the relationship between needing to eat more often and a natural tendancy to lose weight. It doesn't work quite the way OP seem to think it does and is prone to creating a feedback loop of needing to chug calorie dense food very often to not lose weight, since any other type of food will not prevent weight loss and the hearty appetite will not mitigate it.
There's something to be said for how much tedium you want in your games. Dealing with fear of blood in standard clothing degradation settings is a sizeable hassle.
Tack on the need to babysit your hunger that much more often, combined with the need to haul more calorie dense food, is just a bunch of butts.
You may think on paper it's going to help you go through your cans, but in practice it won't, and you'll be spending days cooking massive amounts of food with those cans to maintain weight and still fail.
This build needs to constantly feast on chips/peanut butter/fish to maintain weight and moodles.
That's just a lot of tedium. Combined with the garbage fitness this build touts, as well as the mediocre strengh and absence of weapon skills, it's just going to be a bad time.
Not saying it's not worth playing. But it's not going to be a fun thing for me anyways.
