Water boiling

Can’t boil tainted water in a sauce pan anymore? Or….could you ever do this? I thought you could….

Cooking pot works fine but….saucepan….?!?

pretty sure it is bugged... same for the pot of water if you start with it in an antique stove before lighting it.

Try hovering your cursor over the object. Containers you can boil water in should state so in their info box now.

So far I have only been able to purify water that's in a cooking pot. Saucepans seem to be bugged. Even with cooking pots, sometimes I have to take them out of the stove and put them back in in order for the bars to turn red.

Boiling water only seems to work for cooking pots. It does not work for buckets, sauce pans, or fluids inside glass containers. It also takes several hours to purify in the vanilla game.

Also, there's a bug where if the pot of water is inside the heat source when you turn on the heat, it won't heat until you take out the pot and put it back in.

A whole new scenario:

rain water that was boiled in a cooking pot cannot be used to create soup or stew.

Need to dump it out and refill from sink or water dispenser.

Seems to change the name "Cooking Pot with Water" to "Pot (Water)" and can't be used.

Far as I can tell only pots and pans work for boiling water at the moment, definitely a bug

There's a mod for you that lets you boil or cook using a variety of containers that aren't usable in vanilla.
