Look in the building tab on the left of the screen. You need three stones to make a bonfire kit there.

Why not use bbq grills? Or old stoves. The old stoves seem to be much more common now with the addition of basements.

for me the whole crafting thing is no longer as intuitive as before. for SOME things you have to open the crafting menu...for SOME OTHER things you don't have to. (right-click on the item) and that's really annoying.
Either this way OR that way please.
I also don't understand why you need a recipe for stoneage crafting.
But well...we'll see what comes out in the end.

There is a problem with the fire in build 42, quite often, and in my case almost always, you can't fuel the fire!!! That is, you can light it for 7-6 minutes (in my case, using branches and matches), but you can't add a log or boards or anything else!!! This is outrageous!!! I COULDN'T COOK FOOD, HEAT UP WATER AND BOIL IT!!! Previously, in the last build 41, there were no problems with this at all, but now I can't add anything to the fire so that it burns for at least 2 hours! Please fix this, or am I missing something, maybe the boards are wet after the rain or something else!!???

Did you know you can know right click on a rock, wood or plant in the forest to pick it up without going into inspection mode? Much quicker that way to get the stones

Fireplace, old stove, and campfire now have 6 hours limit on their fuel. You can't add anything that can make them go past that amount of time.

Yes, I know that! But if you read my problem more carefully, you will understand that it is not about "hours" of burning, but in my case MINUTES!!! That is, I cannot add fuel AT ALL!!! And I do not understand what is happening, it is unlikely that this is the mechanics of the game, it is a problem!!!
You should add the fuel BEFORE lighting the fire, for example a broken branch adds 1 hour and 20 minutes. Click the "destroy for fuel" to add the branch or whatever fuel you have, and check the campfire/BBQ info. It should state the remaining time. Once you have added enough fuel, that's when you light it up with a twig which only adds 8 minutes.
Is the "destroy for fuel" option not appearing at your end?

Thank you very much!!! The "destroy for fuel" option solved everything, I was not paying attention!!! Now I can make a fire for 7 hours!)
I needed this "destroy for fuel" hint as well. i saw the option, but it is not intuitive as to what it does. When i right click on a BBQ or campfire and there is a "destroy for fuel" option, common sense dictates you are offering destroying the campfire or BBQ itself to get fuel back from it, not the other way around. Thx for the clarification.

Just don't forget to favorite your back pack etc. It is otherwise selectable for destruction. And you will eventually click it. I did.

Do you have ideas for better wording?

When you grow up cycling through 17 different menus just to change 2 settings, you don't understand what being concise and consistent are.
