What mods do you use ?

I bought the game couple of days ago and have not played it yet, but I can clearly tell the modding community is huge and probably is a very big reason this game is loved by many and is still going strong.

So that being said is there mods that you would highly recommend for a new Project Zomboid player such as myself ? I'm especially interested in mods that you "cannot play without".

Personally, I say you should play vanilla first to see what exactly you'd like to change or add, and then go look for mods that do what you want. However, despite what some may tell you, the game is perfectly serviceable and playable without mods at all.

I would start modding with just:

New cars by KI5
new weapons and armor by Brita and
Common Sense by Brave

then you can let your mod list bloat from there over time based on what you want. I wouldn't recommend just copying someone's list of 80 mods, because you won't know what they're fixing/changing and why.

Why do you still use has been read? I tought they added a "V" in build 42
