Bags in cars

I’m enjoying how things like bags, ciggs, makeup, perfume etc can all spawn on car seats now. Something had me all messed up though - I was moving house and had 8 empty trash bags I chucked into the one seat. Then I notice each one of those bags shows up in the seat/glovebox/trunk column/thumbnail section, whatever you call it.

I was confused at first and this may be slightly bugged. The seat says it can hold 20 weight but the bag that’s on the seat won’t take much at all. I thought you could carry a decent amount in a trash bag…? Or maybe it’s the combined weight of all 8 empty bags in the seat that’s adding up and not letting me add more to each bag individually?

Weight reduction dosent affect the weight when being put into a vehicle or storage of any kind.

Yes, most likely that's the case if you put all 8 bags on a single seat. If you try to fill one of them, then they won't go up to 18 encumbrance limit because the seat itself can only take 20 encumbrance. Which around 3-4 encumbrance (I think?) was already taken by the other 7 trash bags.
