How do you pump up Carpentry in build 42?

So far, I can only think of sawing off logs. And build stuff that doesn't have skill requirement.

Log walls , that need 4 logs and 4 rags, give you 2.5 exp. Just read the book and build the walls.

Barricading windows and doors with planks levels it up pretty quick, I got to carpentry 2 just barricading all the windows around the school that I made my base.

Yes, Barricading definitely fastest to get to lvl 1. After that saw dem logs and build 20 small tables :D

I mean, watch TV for the first 3 levels. I think posts are a super mat-cheap way to go, but so far I've just been building as I go. Leveling from walls and livestock fencing, etc.

That's 12 planks worth of wood. You can saw them for XP build 3 frames for XP and then make 3 walls for XP. Needs nails but a visit to a warehouse will have that covered.

Frames are level 2 though. Log walls are handy for getting to level 2 and protecting your base at the same time.

Cant even seem to be able to barricade windows with lvl 0 carpentry. i Got planks and nails but windows dont give me a promt to barricade when rightlicking them.

Edit: i find it kinda strange that dissasembling items dosnt gain any xp anymore. Only fix for that is playing sandbox with custom settings i guess?

correct. no xp for dismantle is the current default. sandbox adjustments to your liking are an option.
