Build 42 cooking issues or feature?
Now I understand the change to a degree that requires you to cook bagged beans and ect.. in order to eat them rather than ripping the bag open and eating them dry, and that is fine and all, but what I don't understand is in order to eat them you have to add them to a pot that has a base ingredient like pasta and such rather than being able to cook a bag of beans or lentils on their own with season or not, I am not sure if this is a bug or if it is a feature the requires a higher cooking skill that I have not unlocked yet, but I find it silly if it is a feature that makes me go the extra 4 steps just to be able to eat bagged foods, let alone the fact that i have to use the full bag while using it in a dish rather than taking out a small amount and saving the rest for later to cook like in real life, call me weird if you want but I enjoy cooking up some dried beans and adding some spices on its own so I find it quite odd I cant do that in Zomboid which most people in a scenario like this would eat anything cold/warm/raw regardless of what it is as long as it kept you full and able to live another day.

(This is not a hate rant on the game or update, more of just a friendly rant on some questionable design choices that are my opinion)

I haven't found any beans so far (because of the new loot distribution lol),
but in B41, you should be able to add them to stew and soup. Have you tried that?
I think they work for stir fries and roasts too.

And yeah, the part where cooking an advanced recipe consumes the whole ingredient sucks.
I hope it's just a bug, since using perishables doesn't consume the ingredients entirely.

I don't think it's strange that if you're eating beans that have been dried for storage, you have to soak them in a pot of water.
I'm not very familiar with beans, but raw rice is a no-go.

I can attest to being able to cook beans by them selfs.

Why isn't it so in this, nay thou do not know. But I will still sizzle my meaty beans into a creamy delight.
