Chicken /Farming Questions

I think the red chickens might be bugged. I had a issue with a whole bunch spawning when I went to bed and had to start over. Ive seen a couple reddit posts and they seem to be showing/referring to the red ones too. The white ones seem fine. I didn't report because my game is modded.

How do I get a fertilized chicken egg? I have a boy and 2 girls. They lay regular eggs but how do I make a baby chicken? (LOL) Im trying to get my animals to reproduce. I am taking over the house next door to expand farm space and build a bigger barn area. They are all happy healthy well fed and watered. I finally got the jackrabbits I found in a trailer to calm down after about a week. They were really stressed and agitated and now they come to me when I "lure" them (my heart its so damn cute<3) I can't pet them though and that sucks. I hope that gets fixed. Nobody is having babies even though its supposed to be "fast" in the options.

Anyone have any farming tips and tricks? I am googling and the info seems pretty limited. Any help would be appreciated.

yeah. went from 9 to 600 overnight and only the red/brown ones multiplied.
Now the game crashed close to the pen and i can't rejoin cause it keeps crashing after loading in.

chickens always mate so at some point you will get some chicks on the area. at least i saw a baby chick running around in my game.

I have a chicken coop with 5 chickens and 10 chicks.
In the beginning I had placed 4 chickens in it, so the others came from breeding.
The coop has a hutch where the hens lay their eggs.
It takes something between 14 and 30 days for eggs to hatch - not sure about the exact time frame.
So as long as you don't touch the eggs they should turn into chicks eventually.
I'm farming the white chickens btw.

Ok so don't touch the eggs and they will eventually hatch. Thank you. About the red chickens check reddit someone did something to their file to save their game I kept trying to save my game (character playthrough)by logging in and out hoping it would fix it but I couldn't with 1 fps 😢 I would leave the red chickens alone for now. I had mine for days then they glitched.

If there are two types of chickens and their only difference is the appearance then they should be sharing pretty much all their code.
If one type has a bug and the other doesn't then I guess the implementation is a mess :(
