Project Zomboid

Mystery wound. Bug? Invisible Zombie? Did I wander into an anomaly?
I have been racking my brains for 20 minutes trying to figure out what has wounded me. I gained a scratch to my neck and almost died, and as far as I'm aware nothing actually happened to cause it. I only noticed because my moodlets started going crazy: I gained max panic, max exhaustion and max agitation very rapidly out of nowhere.

Thing is I was just calmly planting crops. I had sprinted to and from the river with two watering cans, watered my plants (about 12 furrows), put down the watering cans and as I was walking away that's when I noticed I had a neck scratch and around 20% health. I managed to patch myself up just in time but when I checked my clothes I had two holes in my jacket that shouldn't be there: One at the neck, the other the forearm.

Normally I'd guess it was from sprinting over a fence or climbing through broken glass but I had done neither. There is no broken glass, no broken windows and no fence on the side I ran through. It was a straight run down a road and onto a grassy section. I have cleared out the zombies for about a square mile around my house. I left a blood trail and at the beginning of it there's a thick puddle of blood where I put down my watering cans - so that's where it happened I assume. I literally have no idea what could have caused this, so I'm wondering if anyone might have an idea? Like does being over encumbered with a duffel bag cause the strap to dig into my neck or something? I really don't want a repeat of that close call!

That's what I thought too, but the blood trail isn't near the tree and I have lumberjack profession

Lumberjack don't immunise you from tree damage, my guess is that IF they were tree on got scrath and did not notice.

Yea I guess it must be the tree. I mean it doesn't look like I was near enough to the tree but it's the only obstacle that could have caused it.

I'll chop it down just in case ;)
