Is there a way to build wooden crates on top of each other?
It clearly was a thing in build 41, but in the unstable I can't figure that out, is it intended or just another broken mechanic?

Build the extra crates next to the one you want to stack them on, then use the pick up and place actions to stack 'em. In B42 crates won't break when you try picking them up, so it's safe to do so.

I think it has to do with the crates counting as surfaces but if you place them then pick them up you can stack em
I can't pick one up even if it's empty... help this noob
On the left hand panel theres an icon with a shelf and an up arrow over it. Click that, click the box, then click the similar icon that has the down arrow and adjust it so the box is ontop of the box you want it to be. Click again.
You just need to place it on the same tile as the excisting one it will show on top before placing.

I cant seem to build on top of another crate either.
Its either red or wants to place on the tile above.
It has to be a B42 issue.
Just build them anywhere, then pick them up and place them on top of each other. They have to be built on the ground first.

You're using the furniture button on the left side of your screen? It's just above the magnifying glass.
