Good optimization
Possibly for some it is not going well yet, surely the developers are working to correct these errors or temporary problems. But I have to highlight that there was an improvement in optimization on my PC. Before I couldn't play the built 41 with stable fps and even better fps didn't make much difference.
Now I can play the built like it was butter, congratulations from the developers and I really like that they added so much content.
How are you doing in terms of optimization, are you doing better or worse?

I gotta ask, how much memory is the game consuming (without any type of mod), just in the menu screen?
Cause for me its nuts, 9GB just in the menu and then 1 extra when playing, got the memory for that but 41 at most uses 5-7.

Same has mampf, Build 41 is pretty much stable (appart from some engine limitation i guess) but 42 is stutter mess ( and some freeze on the top )

Why the game now uses 10+GB of RAM?

Runs pretty well. Had 100 zombies around my area and didnt even notice. Do have bunch of mods as well :-)

I run the game with 8 years old laptop, and it's definitely running smoother than b41. But man, the built-in fan sounds ready to keel over. Also, driving stutters a lot now.

only rats destroy my fps

It's nice it works for you now.

B42 stutters like a mf for me though.

Tried B42 last night and I have better performance on old version then now. FPS dips alot and game looks blurry for some reason.

Did you drink alcohol ingame or choose shortsighted as a negative trait ?

I think the stuttering while driving is caused by loot containers and their associated loot being generated the first time you enter an area. Subsequent entries into that area (from my experience) still do have some lag but to a much lesser degree. I think from the second load on it's just zombies being instantiated.
