Do you want to play it? If yes, then buy it.

If you're asking, the answer is most likely "yes."
Vats Dec 25, 2024 @ 5:48am
Yes, but stay clear of the unstable branch for now.

If you like to suffer to learn something new, yes

And besides, it's the best zombie experience you'll have, if you're looking for realism of course, just play on Build 41 for now.

You know, im actually going to offer a different opinion.

I think asking on a games page with such positive reviews to the most dedicated part of the community may get you biased answers. :P

I was never and still am not fond of this type of 3rd person game; that said Yes this game is worth the money. You have near full autonomy on the in-game settings and can make the game as easy/hard as you want.

Best way to find out if the game is for you is to check videos and streams on line (the up to date ones) also check if it's classed as "Project Zomboid" or "Project Zomboid Unstable" and "Project Zomboid Build 42" you will see what the stable version looks like and what might be coming by watching the unstable/Build 42 version.

Shameless Plug: I might have a small channel/following, if you check my profile I have several videos up on the game and am currently working on tomorrows one (all bugs I find are always at the front of the video, mainly to help inform Dev's (if they watch them)).

There are also Much bigger Streamers/Tubers out there, though the difference is that they get paid by ad-sense/promotions and I do not; I show everything the good, the bad and the ugly (if any); that also includes games I QA Test for (that way the dev's stay informed along with the players).

I don't know many people who have played it and not got a little hooked, and it's pretty cheap. If you've seen videos or something and feel tempted then I would take it as a sign you would get your money's worth.

If you enjoy pain and suffering and enjoy having a 2nd life that's constantly in danger and need to do more chores just like the ones you do in RL

Definitely

If you don't

No

The overall consensus is yes. The only thing the game is really missing at this point is NPCs. Once those get added the game will (in my view) be at it's peak and likely the best and most complete game out there for what it is. It's already about 90% there and still fully enjoyable right here and now, but the NPCs will be what completes the experience.
