Can't put corpses in back of pickup
Is this intended? I have corpses to clean up around my property and i'll be damned if I have to drag all of them off my farm instead of loading them into the back of my pickup.

I believe it's an unintended consequence of disallowing corpses in containers. The primary intent of that change was to prevent players from tossing corpses into garbage bins and literally deleting them, and from carrying 4+ corpses at once by way of dragging them into a backpack.

The back of a pickup though is, unfortunately, also a container. I'm currently hopeful that they'll add a right click 'dump in trunk' option to vehicles. But who knows. :conwayshrug:

Well if the devs don't add it then the modders sure will.

Ya this is one of the main reasons I've decided to go back to 41 and wait for 42 to bake more. I'm sure the devs will add it, they would be foolish not to add the ability to pack zombies into vehicles.

You should be able to throw them into garbage bins murder style. lol Didn't know you could do that in 41 honestly. But sounds comical for someone to open a dumpster to find zombies inside in multiplayer now that I think about it.

Well sadly with its current implementation grapple tech is also the most useless system in the game:( It is just too punishing to even drag a corpse. A lot slower than a heavily encumbered person and drains stamina faster too. So basicly the best option is to select in each town dedicated kill zones, and lure enemise there....and if possible thereafter torch them.

Only certain ones if i recall well they needed to be at least 20 weight capacity trash containers. So usually the ones you find beside restaurants or gigamarkets.

Yeah, The issue is that garbage bins have a 'Delete' button to literally delete their contents when they have anything inside them, It's to get rid of unwanted items to prevent them from cluttering the world.

Put 1 and 1 together and you have a bin of infinite zombie deletion, no graves, no having to set up a safe space for fire, no corpse sickness since the corpses are gone, No having to transport the corpses particularly far since you can just easily move the bin nearer to the corpse pile as needed, etc.

If the devs didn't want to retain that deletion functionality for it's intended purposes, they prolly would've just left it how it was.

Didn't know garbage did that, I assumed the contents stayed forever or respawned if that's turned on.

To be fair there was no issue with it. Since it already required folks to take the corpses there, and it also reduced the number of zombie corpses which likely improved performance and decreased save game size. So i would say it is probably a step back in this regard.

I think many 42 features are a step backwards. I mean requiring a rubber hose to siphon gas tripped me up, just one more item you have to carry when on looting runs. Sure realism but.. there is a point realism gets in the way of practicality, it's a video game.

Another good example is dull/sharp weapons. So the devs just convinced me to use blunt weapons. lol

Yeah and i am a shortblade user. Though technically screwdrivers have no such issue:D They just simply break...so i use screwdrivers, ratches and wenches. Any other weapon is currently...not worth it:(
They went overboard with a few things.
I know i can edit it in the settings but fall damage set to 1%? Lol...That is one of the things i cannot really get my mind past. It is already not easy to set up the zeds to "fall down" from multi story buildings, but let us punish those that manage, instead of reward:D
And all those completely useless items, that i just delete in trash cans or dump on corpses, because they are just that. Placeholder junk items:( (And they can still affect perf and stab.)
Many of the things are good, but with some alterations i would say they focused on the wrong things.
