Thinking mechanics about weapon jamming
New weapons shouldn't jam at all.
Realistically thinking if you keep good mainentance of your weapon you become attached to it and it would last years. Apocalypse wise this would mean just luck of finding good mainentance weapon and your ability of take care of it.
Working weapon should be reward of your mainentance.

Cleaning and oiling it after using it is crucial part of mainentance. It can withstand weather, if you don't mainentance weapon and lubricate it, it gets bad condition quite quickly even without using it.

No cleaning and no oil, rain or foggy, weapon degrades.
Oiled weapon, rain or foggy doesn't affect.
No cleaning, shooting degrades weapon faster.

Carrying weapon on its case, should protect it from wearing effects.
Gaming wise unrealistic amount of jams could be punishment if not taking care of it, not automatic for all guns.

Its another unrealistic mechanic forced in to add "realism" to the game.
Yea its 1 week into the apocalypse, weapons should not be jamming like they are a cache that was found in the 1940s. a Standard Glock has a lifespan of 30 years, even polymere ones will last a long time with proper care.

I have only had a gun jam on me once irl, given that I have only fired mostly pistols, shotguns and a single AR-15 its still insane to me that playing 10 minutes in the game a glock will jam every 5-7 rounds after firing and a M15 will jam before finishing unloading its clip.

They already fixed this, and we should all be grateful for that. Great Christmas present from the Indie Stone. :)

Gun jamming is disabled by default now. You can sandbox them back in however you want with the multiplier provided.
